Holiday Schedule

Although the Institute may remain open for informal practice, regularly scheduled classes will be cancelled at our Headquarters as well as all satellite locations for all federal holidays.

• January 1 -- Tuesday, New Year's Day
• January 21 -- Monday, Martin Luther King Day
• February 18 -- Monday, President's Day
• May 26 -- Monday, Memorial Day
• June 21 -- Saturday, 5 Tigers Tournament
• July 4 -- Friday, Independence Day
• July 25-27, U.S.K.S.F. Tournament
• August 16 -- Saturday, Wong Tournament
• September 1 -- Monday, Labor Day
• October 13 -- Monday, Columbus Day
• November 11 -- Monday, Veteran's Day
• November 27-30 -- Thursday thru Sunday, Thanksgiving Holiday
• December 24,25 -- Wednesday-Thursday, Christmas Holiday
• December 31 -- Wednesday, New Year's Eve

Inclement Weather Policy

Classes will be cancelled whenever adverse weather conditions are predicted that would make travel hazardous. As a general rule of thumb, since it may be difficult to notify students beforehand in a timely manner, the Institute will follow Fairfax County's schedule of school closings for inclement weather. For inclement weather during weekends, we will adhere to the policy used by Fairfax County Department of Parks and Recreation for classes conducted at County RECenters.
